Introductions:

I’m Vicky, the founder of Pro Populus. After a long career in management and leadership within the pharmaceutical services sector, I set up my practice eight years ago to focus on what I care about most: helping people work well, feel confident, and achieve meaningful results.

I draw on decades of real-world experience — both professional and personal — to understand your challenges, analyse what’s getting in the way, and support you in reaching the outcomes that matter to you. My approach is practical, grounded, and centred on helping you make progress that lasts.

Individual Coaching

Sometimes we don’t even realise we have a challenge or maybe we don’t want to admit to it.

Having someone to coach and support us is about having someone there to listen, support, analyse, challenge you, help you process, guide you and find solutions that work for you.

Leadership/Management workshops for new/untrained managers

Challenge – the client wanted to provide management/leadership training for their management team. The managers were of mixed ability and experience and the client wanted them to all experience workshops which enabled them to have a common language and tools to work with.

Workshops – the workshops were designed to run monthly over a six month period and covered the following topics:

  • Managing me to manage you
  • Managing and Leading People
  • Communicating for effectiveness
  • Having difficult conversations and giving feedback
  • Managing performance and developing people
  • Coaching skills

Methodology – each workshop combined theory and tools to support the topic mixed with participant discussion and input and practice to embed the learning. Each participant left each workshop with objectives and application goals and we revisited these at the start of the next workshop.

Workshops are bespoke and tailored to the needs of each client.

Workplace Mediation

As a qualified workplace mediator, the mediation I deliver is a structured, yet flexible process where I can help two or more people in conflict to discuss, identify and secure a range of mutually acceptable options for resolving the dispute. The goal is to explore each person’s perspective, build mutual understanding, and find solutions that work for everyone involved.

The mediation is voluntary, confidential and future-focused which helps individuals move forward, rather than dwell on the past.

Mediation often prevents the need for formal action, saving time, stress, and cost—and preserving dignity for all involved.

Workplace mediation can be particularly helpful when:

  • Communication has broken down between colleagues
  • There are recurring tensions, disputes or unresolved issues
  • We want to prevent moving down a more formal process
  • We want to restore working relationships quickly and respectfully

Group Facilitation

I commonly work with teams and groups who have a goal or project they would like to achieve. I am brought in to facilitate the group’s discussions and use a process to enable them to explore each aspect fully and then to decide on actions to enable them to achieve their goals. As an objective facilitator I can support the group effectively and all team members can be fully involved in the process.
